What you will be doing
Join our dynamic R&D team as a Laser Engineer. If you're passionate about continuous improvement and engineering excellence, this role is for you. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing lasers, optical designs, and layout bugs. Your expertise will ensure that treatment rooms operate flawlessly, addressing urgent requests promptly and efficiently. Your role will involve on-site support, troubleshooting, and collaborating with colleagues in London and NYC to escalate any issues. Working as part of the R&D to develop and install system improvements
R&D pipeline in the development of system improvement
Working as part of the R&D to develop and install system improvement
Monitor system performance.
Perform laser optical alignments.
Troubleshoot and problem solve any system related issues.
Electro mechanical design development
·Involvement in design reviews and design peer reviews
Start-up the laser systems and perform routine tests to ensure the systems are ready for operation.
Installation of software and firmware updates.
Set up and maintenance of data collection systems in the studio.
Additional on-site technical assistance where required.
What you will need
Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering or equivalent.
Hands on Lab experience - must have worked in a practical laboratory environment.
Ability to work in a computerised environment - to read software output, identify problems and respond to it.
You must be responsible and trustworthy with excellent timekeeping;
Team Player
Effective communicator
Knowledge of electrical systems and testing signal communications as well as experience with either optics or complex laser systems is desirable but not essential.
Experience with Linux is an advantage.
What is on offer
For this New York, New York United States-based position, the expected base salary is $70000-$80000
