47% of US millenials and 36% of Gen X’s have at least one tattoo with 69% of those having more than one. We believe there are ~400 million tattooed people in our target market with more than 1 billion tattoos among us.
People change and life demands evolution, but tattoos are inherently static.
Identity - aspirations, interests and behaviors - change, but tattoos do not; a unique, enduring, and in some cases, debilitating pain point for ~28% of people with at least 1 tattoo who admit to experiencing tattoo regret.

After almost a decade in stealth mode where we have been commercialising our innovative, world-class solution for tattoo removal, we are now embarking on a period of significant global growth to take this proprietary medical technology to market with a growing portfolio of premium studios.

About you…
As we embark on our next round of funding from Series A to Series B, and expand our operations from our beautifully designed studio in London to open studios across the USA, we need a well-networked, commercially astute, operationally savvy and Brand -Obsessed General Manager to help us launch and run our New York studio.
Having come from a high growth start up organisation, you will deliver a best in industry brand launch in New York City. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for someone who knows New York Landscape (ideally living there), thrives in the launch phase of new businesses, who can work autonomously and at pace and who can demonstrate prior success as a Launch Director/ Regional Director/ Country Manager delivering this within either a premium retail or wellness business.
Start up experience is essential. You need to be comfortable working in a rapidly changing & sometimes ambiguous business environment and you will be able to talk to your experience of opening new locations through a hustle hard approach.
You will be a strong relationship builder and communicator, with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to influence others, think strategically and move towards a common vision and goal but with a hands on approach to delivery.
You will also be solutions focused, resourceful and able to work through problems logically while keeping to tight deadlines.
We're not into titles here at NAAMA, so we're looking for someone who wants to make a big difference to a growing brand by getting 'stuck in' with minimal hand holding and doing whatever it takes to make this launch a success.
About the role
Reporting into Operations & working closely with the CEO of the business and with regular input from our founding chairman, initial areas of responsibility will include:
Delivering the successful launch of studio one for NAAMA in the US with a focus on identifying the right location, agreeing favorable contracts and managing the fit out of the studio;
Hiring an amazing team who will embrace the NAAMA values and deliver a best in class experience to our clients;
Delivering commercial growth performance in line with agreed targets;
Acting as studio GM through launch and initial few months to ensure the studio is set up effectively and operates within the company framework before handing the reigns to a permanent GM;
Negotiating supplier agreements across all elements of the US operation;
Working with central marketing to ensure brand activities are delivered effectively in market with the correct localisation to drive interest in the NAAMA brand and studio launch;
Managing day to day operations within the US;
Liaising with key stakeholders within the Global Central team to create consistent ways of working as well as drive innovative change to support local growth in the US;
Meeting with partners and potential suppliers to support the growth ambitions of NAAMA within the US market;
Acting as brand ambassador for NAAMA identifying commercial opportunities to grow the businesses wherever possible.
